Changing lives through sport - Randstad India's commitment to Human Forward
Randstad India, for the second year running, partnered with The Hockey Foundation, a charitable non-profit, in organizing a friendly ice hockey tournament against the majestic Himalayan backdrop in Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir. The region's harsh terrain and remote location have presented limited economic growth opportunities for its locals.
The Hockey Foundation's activities in the region are not restricted to just increasing the awareness of the sport of ice hockey which is the region's most popular sport during winters. Rather, it is about imparting life skills that could add value meaningfully to the region's youth and young people while developing in them a keen interest of ice hockey.
True to our mission of Human Forward, the Randstad team, led by our CEO & MD, Paul Dupuis, spent a week in the region putting together 4 coaching clinics for about 150 locals, conducting an experiential learning session for the students of SECMOL and participating in the Indo-Canadian Friendly Ice Hockey tournament. One of the highlights this year was the inclusion of players from the Indian national women's ice hockey team as proud representatives of team Randstad India. Most hearteningly, under the banner of Randstad With Heart, we were able to collect and donate close to 1000 pieces of equipment to various hockey associations in the region. We are firmly committed to moving the people of the region forward – on and off the ice.
